ODESSA, Texas (AP) A trailer fire has claimed three lives in West Texas. Another person is in the hospital after this morning's fire in Odessa. Two others escaped without injury. Authorities don't know yet how the fire started.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A Travis County grand jury won't charge a former Texas Department of Public Safety official who was under investigation for her role running the agency that handles federal Homeland Security grants to the state. Janice Bruno was fired in 2011 after state auditors received a tip alleging "criminal misconduct" in connection with a contract awarded to an Austin consulting firm.

NEW YORK (AP) Shares of Round Rock-based Dell are falling on reports that founder Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners don't plan on raising their $24.4 billion buyout offer for the company. Dell shares lost 43 cents to fall below $13 in afternoon trading.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) People in a Fort Worth neighborhood have held a memorial service for a stray dog they all cared for. No one knows when the pointer-mix named Beau Blue was born. He died of heart and kidney failure last month. The dog was a fixture in the neighborhood and the mourners at his service included police officers and a veterinarian.
