NEW ORLEANS (AP) Former FBI director Louis Freeh has concluded that several private plaintiffs' attorneys worked together to corrupt a settlement process for victims of BP's 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. However, Freeh's report cleared court-appointed claims administrator Patrick Juneau.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) The seizure of 15 horses from a San Antonio property has led to animal cruelty charges against the owner. Officials who visited the property said there was little to no water for the horses and no food. Police said the horses had numerous wounds on their heads, legs, sides and rears. One horse was dead.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Allegations of a parking pass scam at the Dallas airport has led to the arrest of an airline employee and eight workers for the federal airport security-screening agency. They're charged with theft and resale of parking passes. Airport police say 129 employee parking passes were stolen in March in an office of American Eagle airlines.

SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) A man who escaped a federal prison in Oklahoma 41 years ago has died in Texas. The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office began looking into the identity of the man after responding along with paramedics Tuesday to a 911 call about an unconscious person at a home just outside of San Angelo. The man had lived in the area since 2002.
