HOUSTON (AP) Gov. Rick Perry has received kudos from an anti-abortion group in Houston. Texas Right to Life honored Perry with its lifetime achievement award at its annual dinner. Attorney General Greg Abbott also addressed the gathering. It's the group's 40th year fighting to outlaw abortions.

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (AP) A collision of a pickup truck and car near Austin has left three people dead and one critically injured. Officials say a traffic light had turned yellow when the westbound car tried a left turn onto a side street. The truck slammed into the car. The driver survived but his three passengers were killed.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A tax fraud sentence means more prison time for a man who once was downtown Austin's biggest nightclub operator. Hussein Ali "Mike" Yassine is already serving 12 years after being convicted on money laundering charges. Now he has been sentenced to three more years and ordered to pay $2.5 million in restitution.

GRAHAM, Texas (AP) A West Texas drive-in theater is getting a new digital projector, thanks to Honda. The theater in Graham is the third to be awarded the projector from the auto maker. Movie studios are phasing out 35 mm film prints, which has been an expensive proposition for many outdoor theaters.
