LUFKIN, Texas (AP) Angelina County officials have identified a body found along an East Texas road as a Lufkin woman in a death being investigated as a homicide. An autopsy found Vanessa Hamdan died of blunt force trauma. Investigators are trying to determine a manner of death.
BRYAN, Texas (AP) Police say a janitor at a Central Texas elementary school has been charged with trying to fondle female students while hugging them. Juan Ledezma (luh-DEZ'-muh) is charged with three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. Ledezma resigned from the Bryan Independent School District shortly after the investigation began.
DALLAS (AP) The insider-trading lawsuit against Mark Cuban will continue after a judge turned down the billionaire's attempt to dismiss the government's case as unproven. The case is likely to be decided by jurors who heard Cuban testify for two days in Dallas. Cuban has testified he saw no reason why he couldn't sell his shares in Mamma.com.
RIO HONDO, Texas (AP) A popular road at the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge will close next week. Private vehicles will no longer be able to travel on Bayside Drive after traffic there killed two ocelots in recent years. About 50 ocelots are known to remain in the United States.
