PLANO, Texas (AP) A Vietnam War veteran in North Texas wants vandals to answer for tearing down the American flag in front of his home for the third time. Larry Lorance says the flag at his Plano home was torn down a third time last week. He wants the vandals to replace the flag and to volunteer at a Veterans Administration hospital.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) A small plane has crashed at Fort Worth's Alliance Airport. No injuries are reported. The Fort Worth Fire Department was called after a twin-propeller plane landed on the runway. Two passengers were on board. Neither person was hurt nor taken to the hospital.
EL PASO, Texas (AP) Several federal agents are scheduled to testify against a former Carnegie Mellon University trustee accused of conspiring to launder drug money. Marco Antonio Delgado is accused of devising a scheme to launder money for the now disbanded Milenio cartel. Delgado gave a $250,000 endowment for a Carnegie Mellon scholarship named after him to assist Hispanic students.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Governor Rick Perry is expected to sign an agreement creating a Texas A&M branch campus in Israel. Perry is an Aggie graduate. He's traveling Israel this week with Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp. Sharp says the university will foster "understanding and education and unity in Israel."
