SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (AP) Singer Willie Nelson has suspended performances until December after three of his band members were hurt when their bus plowed into a bridge pillar in East Texas during rainy conditions. The Texas Department of Public Safety says Nelson was not aboard in the weather-related accident around 3:30 a.m. yesterday along Interstate 30 near Sulphur Springs, 75 miles northeast of Dallas.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) A San Antonio police officer has been arrested and accused of raping and groping a handcuffed 19-year-old woman in the back of his patrol car. The San Antonio Police Department says Jackie Neal, an 11-year veteran with the department, was arrested Saturday on a sexual assault warrant.

KATY, Texas (AP) A 40-year-old cheerleading coach at a suburban Houston facility has been charged with sexually assaulting one of his students. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says in a statement released Friday that the girl made accusations in October against Devincent Phillips. The statement says the girl accused Phillips of sexually assaulting her on three occasions while she was a student at Xcel Athletics in Katy, a suburb of Houston.

HOUSTON (AP) Houston police say they have arrested a high school teacher who is accused of inappropriately touching at least three male students in a scandal that has embroiled three administrators. The Houston Police Department says 56-year-old Spanish teacher Ysidoro Rosales-Motola was arrested Friday at a hotel in Katy, a suburb of Houston.
