HOUSTON (AP) Texans who want insurance coverage on January 1st have an extra day to enroll under the federal health care law. They've been given a one-day extension -- through Tuesday. Federal officials are giving people a little more time because they expect a flood of applicants. But they say people should still try to sign up Monday.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Investment officers for the two largest public pension funds in Texas are pulling down more than $9 million in bonuses. State officials say the funds for retired state workers and teachers have had strong returns this year. The chief investment officer for the teacher's fund is getting the biggest bonus -- $374,000.

RENO, Texas (AP) Two small earthquakes have rattled an area about 20 miles northwest of Fort Worth since Sunday morning. Government scientists say both of the quakes were magnitude 3.3 and were centered near Reno. No damage has been reported.

DALLAS (AP) A morning rush hour pileup in Dallas sent seven people to the hospital. Dallas Area Rapid Transit officials say a DART bus and four other vehicles crashed after a van cut in front of the bus on Interstate 35.
