SAN ANTONIO (AP) Police investigating the death of a newborn are gathering records on all the trucks that arrived at a San Antonio recycling center between Saturday and Monday. Workers at the center found the body Monday afternoon inside a duffel bag. Investigators think the baby was just a few days old.

CUERO, Texas (AP) A former city secretary in Cuero (KWER'-oh) who is accused of leaking police department emails is free on $50,000 bond. Lisa Moravitz has been indicted by a DeWitt County grand jury. Moravitz settled a federal lawsuit against Cuero in 2007 after she claimed city officials engaged in racketeering and harassed her.

MISSION, Texas (AP) A construction worker has been killed at a site in South Texas where a new high school is being built. The 47-year-old man fell about 20 feet at a worksite for the Sharyland Independent School District in Mission.

KILLEEN, Texas (AP) The Texas General Land Office has announced renovation plans for the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. The cemetery opened in 2006 on land that was once part of Fort Hood and get a nearly $5 million upgrade starting in February.
