SAN ANTONIO (AP) A man is in custody after police got calls about a possible gunman at a San Antonio hospital, but officers say no shots were fired, no injuries were reported and no one saw a gun. San Antonio police Sgt. Javier Salazar says a person of interest was apprehended lastnight near Methodist Stone Oak Hospital. The hospital was on lockdown while police did room-to-room searches. Salazar says it's unclear what charges the person could face, if any.
COOPER, Texas (AP) Two men have been charged in connection with the shooting of a Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden. Eighteen-year-old Eli Stephens and 21-year-old Dalton Haddix were taken into custody yesterday and booked into the Delta County jail in Cooper. Stephens is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and Haddix failure to report a felony. Cox says off-duty Game Warden Chris Fried was bow hunting Sunday in the Cooper Wildlife Management Area when he was shot.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The suspect in the stabbing death of a North Texas real estate agent is in police custody following a standoff. Fort Worth police say the man who had barricaded himself in a Fort Worth home shot multiple times at SWAT officers yesterday but officers did not return fire. The man was taken to a local hospital with at least one self-inflicted gunshot wound. Suzanne Parsons, the 49-year-old woman found dead Monday afternoon at her Fort Worth office, died from multiple stab and cut wounds to the neck and chest.

WACO, Texas (AP) Central Texas authorities arrested a man after he tried to run toward a wooded area after his vehicle went airborne and rolled several times following a high-speed chase. McLennan County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Matt Cawthon says the 30-minute chase ended yesterday afternoon in a field on Interstate 35 in Waco. Cawthon says the suspect was wanted on numerous felony charges, including evading arrest and parole violations.
