CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) One of the country's largest producers of gun magazines is leaving Colorado and moving operations to Wyoming and Texas because of new gun laws. Erie, Colorado-based Magpul Industries announced today that it was moving its production, distribution and shipping operations to Cheyenne and its headquarters to Texas, making good on a vow it made to leave Colorado during last year's heated gun control debate. Two Democratic Colorado state senators were ousted by voters angry over the gun control law.

HOUSTON (AP) Houston Mayor Annise Parker has been sworn in for a third two-year term. In ceremonies today, Parker said street and draining improvements made during her previous four years in office soon will become more visible. Parker is term limited from seeking another run for the chief executive's office in Texas' largest city.

HOUSTON (AP) Authorities have charged the husband of a missing Houston-area woman with capital murder in connection with her death. The charge filed today against Matthew Sowders comes hours after authorities found a body in the waters of Cypress Creek near the home of his estranged wife, 26-year-old Sowders.

HOUSTON (AP) The Houston Texans have announced that they've hired Bill O'Brien as coach. O'Brien leaves Penn State less than two years after replacing Joe Paterno. He returns to the NFL to coach the team with the league's worst record this season.
