SAN ANTONIO (AP) A San Antonio police officer who was fatally shot last month while chasing two robbery suspects has been laid to rest. Blue police helicopters roared in formation over Mission Burial Park yesterday, during the funeral of 31-year-old Robert Deckard. The officer was shot in the head December 8th while chasing two convenience store robbery suspects.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Police have arrested a suspect in the slaying of a graduate student whose body was discovered at a San Antonio park on New Year's Eve. San Antonio police yesterday announced the arrest of 29-year-old Christian Bautista on a murder warrant. The case involves the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Lauren Bump, who attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
