HOUSTON (AP) One woman has died and two people were injured in southeast Houston from an apparent pit bull attack. The trio were attacked around 2 a.m. yesterday by at least two female pit bulls. Houston Animal Control estimates that the dogs are about 1-year-old and 30 pounds. It's not immediately known who owns the dogs.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) A single-engine plane running out of fuel has made a safe emergency landing on a Southeast Texas beach. Galveston city officials say nobody was hurt in the landing late Saturday afternoon at Stewart Beach. Acouple, their 7-year-old son and the pilot were in the Piper Cherokee.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) A North Texas environmental company has identified a worker killed in an industrial accident at a water reclamation site. Liquid Environmental Solutions says the investigation continues into the death of 54-year-old Curtis Anderson of Grapevine. Dana King says the service technician died Friday. The Fort Worth Water Department says the accident happened at the Village Creek Water Reclamation Facility while the worker was delivering a load of liquid food waste.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) Two teenagers have been charged in the slaying of a 69-year-old Central Texas man whose body was found at his home in Canyon Lake. The Comal (KOH'-mal) County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Austin Byrom and 18-year-old Skyler Burghart remain held on murder charges in the death of James Carrol Spencer. Both suspects were arrested Friday night in Corpus Christi, nearly 200 miles away.
