DALLAS (AP) A Dallas police officer accused of rape has resigned from the force. Investigators say La'Cori Johnson attacked a woman after a traffic stop in September, telling her she could avoid jail by doing what he asked.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A school security video appears to contradict official accounts of a fight that resulted in a Central Texas sheriff's deputy shooting a teenager with a stun gun. Authorities have said the 17-year-old interfered with deputies trying to stop a fight. But the Austin American-Statesman and KVUE-TV report the video shows the fight was over for several minutes before the teen was shot. The student fell and struck his head and spent more than 50 days in a medically induced coma.
