DALLAS (AP) Southwest Airlines plans to start nonstop flights between Dallas and New York and 14 other cities this fall. The flights from Love Field will begin in October and November after federal limits end at Southwest's home airport.

DALLAS (AP) Texas billionaire Harold Simmons has left most of his estate to his widow but the total dollar value isn't being disclosed. A Dallas judge on Monday ordered a redacted version of Simmons' will to be released after Annette Simmons' attorneys argued for the will to be sealed.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) A former Lubbock police officer has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Jason Hignight pleaded guilty to sexual abuse just before his trial was scheduled to begin. He was arrested in 2011 after two adopted daughters accused him of assault.

HOUSTON (AP) A Houston furniture store mogul says his accountant is "pulling his hair out" over Seattle's Super Bowl romp. Jim McIngvale promised some customers he'd refund their purchase cost if the Seahawks beat the Broncos. He says it will cost him $7 million to make good on the offer.
