DALLAS (AP) Wendy Davis says she would consider decriminalizing possession of small amounts of marijuana and supports the use of medical marijuana. The Democratic candidate for governor has told Dallas Morning News editors that Texas should learn from the experiences of other states when considering changes in its drug laws.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) A federal judge has sentenced former Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos to 13 years in prison. A jury convicted Villalobos last year of accepting bribes in exchange for legal favors. He was the highest profile target of a FBI probe of the county's justice system.
