DALLAS (AP) Another blast of frigid air is bringing with it hazardous weather for much of Texas along with warnings about slick roads and rain extending into midweek. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for North Texas on Sunday as day-time temperatures dip into the 40s. Forecasts call for freezing rain and sleet. Thunderstorms also are likely for the Houston region, with showers likely well into the work week.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Police say a man was out of a jail for just a day before firing on patrons at a Fort Worth bar and killing a bystander. Authorities say 30-year-old Mark Pacheco of Lake Worth was arrested Friday at a relative's home. He's being held at the Tarrant County jail on $150,000 bond.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) An assistant high school coach and substitute teacher has been fired from his job and arrested after he was accused by students with taking video images under their skirts. The San Antonio Express-News reports that Castle Hills Police Department Captain Johnny Siemens said 28-year-old Larry Ruiz, who has been fired from Antonion College Preparatory High School, was arrested on Friday at his home.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) The Texas girls' basketball coach who holds the national record for career victories has retired after 52 years. Granbury High School coach Leta Andrews, who ran up 1,416 wins, the most in girls' or boys' basketball, retired two weeks ago after her team lost in the state playoffs.
