AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Two more Texas abortions clinics are closing because of new restrictions placed on the facilities by the Republican-controlled Legislature. Ten clinics have already closed because of the new law. The law strictly limits where, when, how and from whom women can obtain abortions.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Wendy Davis says she's not disappointed in the turnout among her party's primary voters. Davis says her race and many other key ones on the Democratic slate for Tuesday's primary weren't competitive. Democratic turnout was about on par with the 2010 and 2012 primaries.

CONROE, Texas (AP) A Texas man is waiting to learn whether he'll be tried as an adult for allegedly dousing a boy with gasoline and setting him on fire when he was a teenager in 1998. Don Willburn Collins is accused of attacking Robert Middleton during his eighth birthday. Middleton survived but died in 2011 from skin cancer that authorities say was caused by his injuries. Collins was 13 in 1998.

ABILENE, Texas (AP) Dave Hedge is resigning after 2 years as president and publisher of the Abilene Reporter-News. Hedge was advertising director at the Evansville Courier & Press in Indiana before coming to the Reporter-News. The Abilene and Evansville dailies are both owned by the Cincinnati-based E.W. Scripps Co.
