AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Two Texas abortions clinics are closing because of new restrictions. Ten clinics have already closed because of a new law that limits where, when, how and from whom women can obtain abortions. Abortion rights groups are challenging the law in court. They argue it has no medical basis.

GREENVILLE, Texas (AP) An American Eagle jet flying from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has made a safe emergency landing at a small North Texas airport amid reports of smoke in the cabin. American Airlines says nobody was hurt on Flight 3400. The plane landed in Greenville about an hour after takeoff. Passengers were bused to DFW airport to catch other flights.

CONROE, Texas (AP) A Texas man is waiting to learn whether he'll be tried as an adult for allegedly dousing a boy with gasoline and setting him on fire when he was a teenager. Don Willburn Collins is accused of attacking Robert Middleton. Middleton survived but died in 2011 from skin cancer that authorities say was caused by his injuries. Collins was 13 at the time of the alleged attack.

HOUSTON (AP) A drug raid on a Houston-area home has led to one arrest and thousands of illegal pills confiscated from inside a house coated with powder residue. The Department of Homeland Security says powdery residue was on the walls, in the ventilation system and coated televisions and other electronics. Investigators believe the man arrested was a mass producer of illegal substances.
