FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) A Central Texas sergeant who was a coordinator of the post's sexual assault and harassment prevention program faces multiple charges after he was accused of setting up a prostitution ring involving cash-strapped female soldiers. A statement issued by Fort Hood today says Sergeant 1st Class Gregory McQueen was charged today with 21 specifications. An Article 32 hearing, the military equivalent of a civilian grand jury proceeding, is scheduled for March 20th and 21st at Fort Hood.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) A North Texas judge will decide whether to let jurors hear the tape of a man accused of killing famed Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle admit to the shooting. Eddie Ray Routh appeared in district court today in Stephenville, southwest of Dallas. The 25-year-old Routh is charged with capital murder for the killings last year of Kyle and a friend, Chad Littlefield.

BROWNFIELD, Texas (AP) A demolition worker has been killed in an industrial accident at a West Texas job site. Terry County Sheriff Larry Gilbreath says 43-year-old James Croft of Tyler died at the scene Thursday afternoon when a silo tank fell on him.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) The University of Texas at Austin Moody College of Communication has announced an award-winning former editor at The Washington Post will be the new director of its School of Journalism. The college announced R.B. Brenner's appointment on Thursday.
