HOUSTON (AP) Texas stands out among the nation's four most populous states for lagging behind on health insurance signups. And the state's enrollment helpers are making a final push to get people to buy policies before the deadline in two weeks. California, New York and Florida have signed up far more people than Texas, where nearly one in four people is uninsured.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) A Texas man has fallen to his death at the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Park officials say John Anderson of Grapevine was visiting the park with his family Saturday when he fell about 350 feet off the South Rim.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Funeral services for Sandy Le (lee) will be held Saturday in her Mississippi hometown. The young woman who had been on the critical list since the crash during the South by Southwest Festival last week died Monday morning. Two others died Thursday when police say a drunken driver barreled into a crowd of people outside a club. One injured person remains in critical condition.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) A grand jury has declined to indict a Fort Worth police officer in the death of a man who was shocked with a stun gun. Police say the officer used the weapon on Jermaine Darden after the 300-pound man resisted arrest during a drug raid last year. A medical examiner says Darden suffered from heart disease and he ruled the death "natural."
