FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) A Fort Hood official says the shooter in the attack at the Army base was being evaluated for whether he had PTSD. Four people were killed including the shooter and 16 others were wounded in the attack. Authorities say the shooter is married and served in Iraq in 2011.

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) A Texas congressman has identified the suspect in the shooting at Fort Hood as Ivan Lopez. U.S. Representative Michael McCaul says yesterday's shooting happened at a medical center at the base. The Texas Army base was the scene of a mass shooting in 2009.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) The U.S. Supreme Court will consider halting a Texas serial killer's execution because the state is refusing to say where it gets its lethal injection drug. Tommy Lynn Sells is scheduled for execution tonight. Sells' attorneys say they need to know the supplier's name to verify the drug's quality and spare Sells from unconstitutional pain and suffering.

ROCKWALL, Texas (AP) A man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after his conviction on a murder charge in the hit-and-run death of a Northeast Texas police officer last year. Justin Sanders was convicted of murder in Texarkana officer Jason Sprague's death. The 30-year-old officer had just emerged from his car when Sanders' car hit him as he fled a possible marijuana arrest.
