CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) A man has been charged with indecent exposure in an alleged incident involving a uniformed Corpus Christi police employee in the department parking lot. David James was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly exposed himself to the female police department worker. Authorities say the employee used the police radio to summon officers.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) A co-leader of a Dallas-based human smuggling ring has been sentenced to six years in prison for helping slip immigrants through West Texas. A federal judge also ordered Refugio Aide Diaz Martinez to pay a $12,500 fine. Robert "Beto" Perez Jr. was sentenced in February to eight years in prison and fined $15,000.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) A man who escaped prison in Mexico while serving time for murder has been executed in Texas for killing a local rancher in 1997. Ramiro Hernandez-Llanas was illegally living in the U.S. when he was arrested for the October 1997 slaying of Glen Lich. Hernandez-Llanas repeatedly clubbed Lich with steel rebar.

HOUSTON (AP) A Houston woman convicted of murder for stabbing her boyfriend to death with a stiletto heel may testify during the sentencing phase of her trial. The Harris County jury convicted Ana Trujillo (troo-HEE'-yoh) of murder in last June's killing of Alf Stefan Andersson at his home. Trujillo's attorneys say Andersson attacked her and she defended herself.
