HOUSTON (AP) An armed security guard at a Houston condominium complex has been fatally shot and police are seeking a man who fled after being denied entry. Police say 51-year-old Rene Almeida was shot early yesterday near a small security structure at an entrance to the gated complex. Police are reviewing security camera video.

HOUSTON (AP) A teenager has been charged with burglary after security video from inside a Houston-area house showed a man with a flashlight peering at a sleeping toddler in a crib. The Harris County Sheriff's Office says nobody was hurt in the April 5th burglary and 18-year-old Christopher Gomez faces an initial court appearance Monday.

GRANBURY, Texas (AP) Authorities believe skeletal remains found inside a truck recovered from a North Texas lake are those of a woman missing for 35 years. A statement released by the Hood County Sheriff's Office says a passer-by discovered the partially exposed 1970s-model Chevy truck Thursday in Lake Granbury. The ongoing drought has dropped the lake's water level, revealing a portion of the vehicle.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Whole Foods Markets is recalling mini butter croissants sold in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana because they contain eggs, an undeclared allergen. The recalled item is sold with a Whole Foods market scale label reading "mini butter croissants" in six-pack plastic containers with a "Best by" date of April 21st through April 23rd. It also has a uniform product code of 2 28719-00499-1 on the scale label.
