DALLAS (AP) Police say a 10-year-old boy was shot at a home in the Forest Hill section of Dallas. The boy sustained injuries that were not life threatening early yesterday. Police say he was shot during a fight between his mother and her husband.

DALLAS (AP) Police in Dallas have arrested a man they say cut an acquaintance's neck after an argument. Anderson Irby was arrested on aggravated assault charges. Police say the victim was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas with critical injuries.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The Humane Society of North Texas is collecting donations for a pony and her foal who were severely burned in a barn fire. Bella sustained burns over much of her body. Officials weren't sure if her flame-scarred ears could be saved. Butterscotch sustained several smaller burns. Human Society volunteers hope to raise $4,000 for their care.

TURKEY, Texas (AP) A tribute to the man known as the King of Western Swing starts Wednesday and runs through Saturday in Turkey. A gospel jamboree kicks off the 43rd annual Bob Wills Day celebration at 2 p.m. Official Bob Wills Day is Saturday. Activities begin that day at 7 a.m. with a biscuit and gravy breakfast.
