DALLAS (AP) Police say a boy was shot during a domestic disturbance at a home in the Forest Hill section of Dallas. Police say he was shot during a fight between his mother and her husband. The boy was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg/hip area at Cook Children's Medical Center.

DALLAS (AP) A Dallas man has been arrested after police say he cut the neck of an acquaintance following an argument. Anderson Irby was arrested on aggravated assault charges. Irby is accused of arguing with a man, then pulling a knife and cutting the other man's neck. Irby also faces a charge of marijuana possession.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The Humane Society of North Texas is collecting donations for care of a pony and her foal who were severely burned in a barn fire south of Fort Worth. A pony named Bella was found trying to shield her foal Butterscotch from the flames. Bella sustained burns over much of her body. Officials weren't sure if her flame-scarred ears could be saved. Butterscotch sustained several smaller burns.

TURKEY, Texas (AP) The 43rd annual Bob Wills Day celebration in West Texas begins Wednesday. It's a tribute to the man known as the King of Western Swing and runs through Saturday in Turkey. Wills died in 1975. He formed the Light Crust Doughboys in 1931 and later put together the Texas Playboys.
