CONROE, Texas (AP) A 13-year-old boy has been charged in the slaying last month of a Montgomery County convenience store owner. Sheriff's officials say the boy has been charged as a juvenile with capital murder in the slaying of Sam Sadruddin. Joseph Gutierrez was also charged with capital murder in the slaying last month.

HOUSTON (AP) The owner of a tugboat that collided with a ship last month claims in court filings the ship was speeding and being operated in a reckless manner. The crash led to the dumping of nearly 170,000 gallons of oil into the Houston Ship Channel. Houston-based Kirby Inland Marine alleges the collision was caused by gross negligence on the part of Sea Galaxy Marine.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A Texas House panel will vote next month whether to recommend the impeachment of University of Texas System Regent Wallace Hall for his efforts to oust the president of the system's flagship Austin campus. A vote to recommend impeachment would be the first step toward potentially removing Hall from office. Hall was appointed regent by Governor Rick Perry in 2011.

HOUSTON (AP) Houston Airport System officials are working to rebuild and expand the international terminal at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. System Director Mario Diaz says the trick is to keep the terminal operating even as it's totally rebuilt. Officials say the process could take up six years to complete.
