HOUSTON (AP) Houston police say a man and two women have been found shot to death at an apartment and investigators are seeking several people seen fleeing the home. Police say it appears the victims were shot last night and the apartment was ransacked. Police are trying to determine whether anything was stolen from the home in northwest Houston.

HOUSTON (AP) Houston firefighters answering a call about a burning car have discovered a body in the charred vehicle. The Houston Fire Department says the body was located early this morning. Houston police will help investigate the death.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) An eighth grader from Texas paired up with another from New Jersey to win the National School Scrabble championship. The boys met in person for the first time Saturday at the tournament in Providence. The pair beat brothers Jack and Nicholas Miklaucic for the title and a shared $10,000 grand prize.

HOUSTON (AP) The aircraft that has ferried shuttles across the country is headed to Space Center Houston today. The aircraft has been disassembled, and its biggest pieces will be delivered on oversized flatbed trucks over two days starting tonight. The 1,000-foot convoy will travel about walking speed the eight miles from Houston's Ellington Field to Space Center Houston.
