DALLAS (AP) Two Texas schools are included on a list released by the federal Education Department of 55 colleges and universities from across the nation facing investigations over their handling of sexual abuse complaints. The list includes Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas-Pan American. Federal officials say schools were publicly identified to increase transparency.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) First lady Michelle Obama is heading to San Antonio to participate in a growing celebration of the area's high school seniors who are committing themselves to higher education. Obama is the featured attraction today at the city's "College Signing Day." About 2,100 high school seniors are expected at the pep rally-like event at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) Former President George W. Bush is holding his annual mountain bike ride for U.S. military members wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. This year's three-day ride is being held at Bush's Crawford ranch in Central Texas. Sixteen current and retired members of the military are taking part in the ride.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A sterling silver tea and coffee set that belonged to Hall of Fame pitcher Christy Mathewson is scheduled to be up for auction this weekend in Austin. Auction officials say the tea set was presented to Mathewson in 1917. Much of the family's collection was destroyed in a 1950 house explosion and fire that killed the son of the New York Giants pitching great in San Antonio.
