SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) Investigators say a body found in the Concho River in downtown San Angelo has been identified as a boy last seen in the water. A jogger yesterday noticed a body in the river. San Angelo police later identified the body as Daniel Perez. The teen was last seen Monday afternoon while swimming with friends.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) At least 28 people suspected of being gang members have been nabbed in Texas as part of a nationwide sweep leading to more than 600 arrests. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested 638 suspected gang members over a monthlong period. Investigators say the Texas arrests happened in the Harlingen, Laredo, San Antonio and Dallas areas.

HOUSTON (AP) A Houston-area man faces up to 20 years in prison in a $5.5 million shipping containers scam. Prosecutors in Houston say Steven Patrick Jones pleaded guilty Thursday to mail fraud. His partner, John Patrick Acord faces similar charges and remains at large.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) First lady Michelle Obama will be in San Antonio today for "College Signing Day." The event is part of Mayor Julian Castro's push to improve high school graduation rates and increase the number of area residents with college degrees. It's intended to be the academic counterpart to the annual hoopla when high school athletes choose their colleges.
