WASHINGTON (AP) It's a second-term Cabinet shuffle for President Barack Obama. Obama plans to nominate Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan to be White House budget director. And the president is considering naming San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro as Donovan's successor. Castro's star has been on the rise since Obama tapped him to deliver the keynote address at the 2012 Democratic National Convention and his is considered a possible vice presidential pick in 2016.

FRITCH, Texas (AP) Prom dresses by the dozen have been donated to students in the Texas Panhandle whose homes and possessions were lost in a wildfire. The Sanford-Fritch High School prom was held Saturday night less than a week after a wildfire burned about 4 square miles near Fritch. Individuals and businesses also donated tuxedos and flowers for about a dozen prom-bound students.

HOUSTON (AP) An off-duty Houston firefighter has died after his bicycle hit a truck trailer that was hauling landscaping equipment. Houston Fire Department Captain W. Mark Braswell died following the accident Friday afternoon in northwest Harris County. Officials say Braswell had been with the Houston Fire Department for 20 years.

HOUSTON (AP) A 66-year substitute teacher in Houston has been treated and released from a hospital after a student allegedly attacked her when she confiscated his cellphone. Police arrested the 16-year-old boy over the videotaped altercation Thursday at Nimitz High School in the Aldine (AHL'-deen) Independent School District.
