AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Officials are encouraging Texas residents to prepare for storms in anticipation of hurricane season. The season starts June 1st. Officials suggest Texans assemble an emergency kit that includes essential documents, supplies and provisions. Hurricane evacuation maps should be on hand and reviewed and an evacuation route chosen.

HOUSTON (AP) An autopsy has been ordered on a body discovered on an embankment near a Houston-area bayou. Harris County sheriff's deputies are investigating whether the body could be part of a missing-person case. Officials say the body was discovered last night on an embankment near a section of White Oak Bayou.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) A South Texas man has been arrested after law officers searched his home and discovered a pipe bomb and materials used to make explosive devices. Investigators say Michael Keich was arrested on charges of manufacturing an unregistered weapon and manufacture of an explosive without a license. Keich faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.

HOUSTON (AP) A third man has pleaded guilty in a fake Viagra investigation linked to Texas and Illinois and thousands of pills shipped from China. Nasif Baqla pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit goods, to introduce misbranded prescription drugs into interstate commerce and to import such goods into the U.S. The Houston man was indicted last August.
