HOUSTON (AP) A 20-year-old man has been charged with capital murder in the 2012 shooting death of three young men at an apartment complex in north Harris County. Sheriff's officials announced today the arrest of Binh Hung Nguyen (WIN). He was booked into the Harris County jail Wednesday.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) A federal judge has sided with the Lubbock Independent School District in a lawsuit brought by a religious group whose ad featuring a heavily tattooed image of Jesus was rejected by school officials. A legal group representing the organization called Little Pencil tells the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal they're disappointed with yesterday's decision from U.S. District Sam Cummings.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Austin city officials are keeping city swimming pools open longer this summer but are having difficulty finding teenagers to work as lifeguards. Aquatic program manager Jodi Jay tells the Austin American-Statesman it's always difficult to fill the jobs but this year is more of a challenge.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) Galveston officials are taking a look at policies covering closing of Gulf of Mexico beaches after some visitors complained police using loudspeakers and sirens ordered them to leave the beaches and a pavilion over the Memorial Day weekend. Parks Board Executive Director Kelly de Schaun tells The Galveston County Daily News visitors can use parks and walk the beach but cars aren't allowed to park on the beaches overnight because of public safety reasons.
