FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Investigators are trying to determine what led to the deaths of three people whose bodies were found in a North Texas house. Fort Worth police were dispatched yesterday to the home on a possible deceased person call. Sergeant Ray Bush says three adults were dead at the scene.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) The superintendent of the Fort Worth Independent School District has resigned after trustees met in closed session for several hours. Walter Dansby's resignation was accepted last night. Several board members previously raised concerns about the district's academic performance.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) Federal investigators are trying to find out what caused a wreck that ruptured a tank and spilled nearly 170,000 gallons of oil in the Houston Ship Channel. A panel of Coast Guard and National Transportation Safety Board officials is taking a second day of testimony today in Galveston. They're scheduled to hear from the captain of the tug and pilot of the freighter.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) The Texas Department of Public Safety has joined a three-day nationwide safety effort called Roadcheck. Texas troopers today began their upgraded enforcement by watching for 18-wheelers and buses with serious equipment violations. DPS will also be on the lookout for aggressive passenger vehicle drivers.
