FRISCO, Texas (AP) The second fastest-growing city in the country has revised its water restrictions due to low lake levels from Texas' ongoing drought. A release from Frisco says the city council voted at a specially called meeting yesterday to curtail watering with automatic sprinkler systems to once every two weeks beginning June 29th.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) A 30-year-old Corpus Christi woman is being held on intoxicated manslaughter and intoxicated assault charges following a fatal hit-and-run incident. Corpus Christi Police say Christine Griffin hit a 56-year-old man who was pushing a 57-year-old woman in a wheelchair around 9 p.m. Friday. Both were taken to a local hospital where the man died. The victims' names were not released.
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) A husband who Lubbock police say strangled his wife during an argument slept beside her in their bed after she died and then dumped her body the next day. The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal cites court records in reporting Saturday that 43-year-old Epifanio Jose Guzman told investigators he strangled 41-year-old Rachel Guzman from behind until her body went limp. He's being held on $1 million bond.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) It's the end of the trail for country music king George Strait, who wrapped up his final tour with a star-filled show at the lavish home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington. Saturday night's star studded show brought to an end nearly 40 years on the road for Strait, which started in 1975.
