LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) Drought-stricken Wichita Falls finally got some good relief as a storm system moved eastward over the North Texas city. The National Weather Service says Wichita Falls got 1.24 inches. One town in a county west of Wichita Falls got 5.11 inches from thunderstorms.

VIDOR, Texas (AP) Authorities in Southeast Texas have released the names of two men involved in a fatal shooting east of Beaumont. The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the initial investigation showed that Steven James Coutee fatally shot Ronald Thomas Barnes. Coutee called 911 after the shooting and has been cooperating with investigators.

SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) A man has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two people in a multi-vehicle crash near San Angelo. Richard Michael Garcia III was arrested. He was driving one of the four vehicles involved in the Saturday night accident. Stephen Tyler Wadsworth and Emily McKenna Word were killed.

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) One person has died in Galveston after a pickup truck ran off the road and hit two people standing near a souvenir shop. Witnesses told police that a pickup truck cut across several lanes of traffic and drove onto the sidewalk. Raphael Flajole died at the scene after being hit as the truck went over the seawall and onto the beach. Galveston Police identified the driver as Kevin Wade Wilson.
