SAN ANTONIO (AP) Police officers making a welfare check at a house in northwestern San Antonio found a man, a woman and a teenage girl dead on the floor. Police say the dead man appeared to have been the gunman and that the three knew one another. Officers found the bodies last night after neighbors reported that no one in the house could be contacted.
HOUSTON (AP) Federal immigration officials are using Houston's George Bush International Airport as a transfer point for distributing the influx of unaccompanied immigrant children around the country. Dallas County is among the locales offering potential sites for housing the children until they can be processed and returned. More than 52,000 unaccompanied children have been apprehended since October.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) The HEB supermarket chain is recalling almost 38 tons of fresh beef products over concerns that it might be contaminated with metal fragments from a failed bearing. HEB employees found metal shavings in products on June 10th. An investigation traced them to a failed bearing in auger machinery.
DALLAS (AP) Facebook has deleted some big game trophy photos posted by a Texas Tech cheerleader and says they violated its standards. Kendall Jones has received criticism and support online after posting the pictures of herself in Africa. Jones says on her public Facebook page that the hunts are legal. She later shared a Fox News montage of those deleted photos.
