HOUSTON (AP) Police say a Houston barbershop owner shot and killed a customer during a heated argument. Houston police say the incident happened Saturday when the customer and the owner of the north Houston business were arguing. The customer refused to leave and the owner told police that he felt threatened and feared for his life.

HOUSTON (AP) Police say a teen has died after being accidentally shot at his Houston home while grabbing a gun from his friend. Corbin George was taken to a hospital where he was briefly treated before being pronounced dead. The case will go before a Harris County grand jury to determine whether the friend could face charges.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) The Coast Guard is searching for the chief engineer of a Liberian-flagged tanker in the Gulf of Mexico after he was reported missing. The tanker called the Coast Guard for help yesterday en route to Port Aransas. Crews have searched by helicopter, aircraft and boat.

MISSION, Texas (AP) The recent surge in illegal immigration has brought cameras, lookout towers and armed patrols to the U.S.-Mexico border near Mission. The Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley sector has made more than 194,000 arrests since October. That's nearly triple that of any other sector.
