HOUSTON (AP) One firefighter has been hurt battling a Houston apartment complex blaze. Arson investigators were dispatched to the scene of the three-alarm fire reported early this morning. Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the fire in northwest Houston that left a firefighter with minor injuries.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) A North Texas teenager has died after her go-kart crashed during an autocross event near Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Kierstin Eaddy. Witnesses say Eaddy accelerated as she passed the finish line and hit a cable. She was airlifted to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

GEORGETOWN, Texas (AP) Rescue crews have located the body of a teenage boy who drowned in a Central Texas lake. Local dive teams found the 16-year-old's body yesterday morning. They had been searching for the Round Rock teenager since Friday afternoon. Witnesses say the teenager jumped off of a pipe into the lake.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A Southwest Airlines jet bound for Dallas has safely returned to Austin after reports of smoke in the cabin. No injuries were reported as Southwest Flight 4625 returned to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport just minutes after takeoff last night. Passengers were booked on another Southwest flight.
