Interim Sheriff Reacts to Former Hidalgo County Chief of Staff's Guilty Plea

HIDALGO COUNTY - Interim Hidalgo County Sheriff Jose Eduardo Guerra reacts to Former Hidalgo County Chief of Staff's Patricia Medina guilty plea.

Guerra spoke to CHANNEL 5 NEWS about the guilty plea Friday night.

Guerra says, "They resigned for a reason and now we know why they resigned."

When asked what he thought about connection to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Guerra said, "I will tell the citizens of Hidalgo county, I've only been on the job for a week, but there is a lot of good men and women working for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office."

Guerra was sworn in as Hidalgo County's interim sheriff. Guerra is the former Hidalgo County Precinct 4 constable.
