PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwire) 08/30/12 -- Invest Southwest Capital Conference 2012, with title sponsor Snell and Wilmer, is announcing SOOH Media as the first company selected to present at this year's event. The winner of the early bird application process will join ten to fifteen other companies as presenters at the 2012 Capital Conference to be held on November 28-30, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
"This is the first time we've invited applicants to participate in an early bird application," said Dax Williamson, selection panel co-chair for Invest Southwest. "We guaranteed that one applicant from the early bird submissions would be chosen as a presenter. It was a great incentive to create excitement within the community."
Formerly FauxBooth, the first-ever social-out-of-home network, has evolved to SOOH Media. SOOH Media improves upon traditional DOOH advertising, providing an interactive photo and video network that engages consumers and brands through integrated local, social and mobile platforms. SOOH Media's new market position and rebrand is fortified by client wins at NASCAR, CBS Radio and the Phoenix Mercury.
"SOOH Media represents a good model of early-stage firms seeking funding in the region," Brian Burns, Invest Southwest selection panel co-chair goes on to say. "All of the applicants this year appear to have raised the bar and we're excited to showcase SOOH Media alongside the rest of the presenters."
The deadline to apply is 5:00 pm PT on August 31st. The application can be found at www.investsouthwest.org. Companies that are selected will be mentored by a hand-picked team of experts and share their business plan with angel, venture capital and institutional investors at the Conference.
"The 2012 Invest Southwest Capital Conference seeks to showcase local and regional companies raising $500,000 to $10 million," said Jonathan Coury, 2012 chairman of Invest Southwest and partner at Hool Law Group. "Early stage and emerging companies seeking investment dollars should apply now to be eligible to present at the premier capital conference in the Southwest."
