SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - Strong winds and heavy rain at South Padre Island left some damage in its path. The roof of Louie's Backyard was damaged.

The storm brought excitement for the people who watched it pass.

"All of the sudden we looked to our right. And as we did, this huge bolt of lightning struck the transformer right on the light pole. And it blew up. There were sparks everywhere, and for a while after, it was just on fire," says Rachel Callahan.

A roof repairman says there was no structural damage to Louie's Backyard.
