Jury to Decide Sentence for Man Who Starved Baby

BROWNSVILLE - A jury will decide the punishment for a man convicted of starving his 4-month-old nephew to death.
Abraham Proenza, of San Benito, was convicted on Friday. He faces up to 99 years behind bars.
Proenza, a former day care operator told the jury he did not want to take the child to the hospital because he wasn't the parent.
The baby weighed about 8 pounds when he died in 2008.
