DAYTON, OH - Aaron Lee scored a pair of goals and the streaking Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (30-26-7) won their sixth straight game and moved closer to a CHL playoff spot with a 5-4 victory at Dayton on Friday night. The Bees, winners of 10 of their last 12, have only three games left on the regular season schedule. Though the team has a significant lead over fifth place Tulsa for the final playoff spot from the Berry Conference, the locals have played three more games than the Oilers. Lee's two goals gave him a team best 35 for the season. Dayton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period before Brandon Campos and Tomas Klempa tied the score. Scott Balan added an insurance score for the Bees in the third period. Wylie Rogers stopped 29 shots in the win, which now gives the Killer Bees 67 standings points for the season. The three-game road trip ends at Quad City on Saturday.
