Killer Bees Survive Late Scare

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The Killer Bees survived a late run by the Arizona Sundogs to end 2011 with a 4-2 victory Saturday night. The Bees held a 3-0 lead after two periods of play thanks to scores by Brandon Campos, Scott Balan, and Aaron Lee. Arizona (9-16-5) cut the lead to one with two goals in the final frame before Rio Grande Valley put the game away with an empty-net goal from Tomas Klempa. Wylie Rogers stopped 29 of 31 shots for the Bees (13-12-4), who finish their three-game set in Arizona on Tuesday, January 3.
