La Feria Officer Accused of Improper Relationship with Underage Girl

LA FERIA - A police officer is behind bars accused of having an improper relationship with an underage girl.
La Feria Police Cpl. Rene Barrientes was charged with three counts of indecency with a child. He is a 5-year veteran of the La Feria Police Department.
Texas Rangers and U.S. Marshals Service deputies are investigating the case.
Barrientes is being held at the Cameron County jail.
