LA JOYA - Police in La Joya are retracing the steps of some sticky fingered vandals.
School police say crooks snatched laptops from Enrique Camarena Elementary School. Police think the same people hit up the middle school next door, Memorial Middle School. Graffiti was found all around the school.
"More than anything, it's material that belongs to the kids, material the kids need to get an education, and that's why it's important people respect the schools," says La Joya ISD police Chief Raul Gonzalez.
The school district's police chief thinks children committed the crimes. Police are chasing several leads.
