WESLACO – Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are preparing for President Trump’s visit.

The McAllen Police Department plays an important role every time a leader from Washington pays a visit to the area.

KRGV’s Trason Bragg spoke with McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez about his role in this visit.

Rodriguez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS his department is the largest in South Texas.

The department is even equipped with special units, such as K-9, bomb squad and tactical units.
