PHARR - Eleven students at PSJA’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Center are facing criminal charges after a fight.

School officials say it was gang related.

The teens were sent to the alternative center after failing to follow the code of conduct at their original PSJA campus.

School officials and police are reviewing the case to determine whether the students will be expelled or placed in the Hidalgo County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program.
