MCALLEN - At the Lark Community Center, some people had to wait until after 10 p.m. to cast their vote. That was three hours after the polls were supposed to close.
Mayor Richard Cortez says delays like that forced some voters to leave before casting a ballot.
"Who knows what those people would have voted for? And things may be different," he says.
Cortez hopes city officials solve the problem before the next election.
