Mother Wants Tuition Money Returned After School Closes

EDINBURG - An Edinburg woman is out thousands of dollars after the school she enrolled her son in closed down unexpectedly.

Michelle Perez says the owner of Sagebrush Montessori Academy owes her $2,000.

Perez tells us, “We thought it was a great opportunity, so we scraped up as much as we could to make sure our son would have a place in there.”

She explains the owner returned $500 of her initial tuition fees, but she has since stopped all communication with her.

The owner was not home when we stopped by her residence this afternoon.
